As an avid ground hopper I was able re-visit one of my favourite venues to take in the semi final of witchampton and sturminster Marshall yesterday and thought I'd share the experience. Firstly the game took place in the most beautiful of places, a lovely clubhouse run by very friendly and welcoming hosts was a joy. the game itself was also very good, sturminster taking a 2 goal lead in the first 15 minutes, one an unfortunate error by the goalkeepers part but after that Witchampton settled and pulled a goal back with a well taken lob over the visiting keeper. the second half saw the home side press and press for the equaliser but the quick lad up fronts final touch seemed to go begging on maybe 3 or 4 opportunities. to sturminsters credit they held as firm as they could be and finally saw out the game 2-1 winners. Both centre halves of witchampton were outstanding in keeping sturminsters prolific striker very quiet indeed even if , I hope they don't Mind me saying must be getting on now.. For the past 20years I have followed the home side and they have always been there. all the best to sturminsters in the final, it was a lovely day indeed .

An easy final for us, already beaten them a few weeks ago 9-1, a poor side at best, not one of their players would get in our side

Wow thanks for the info... 9-1 was it or was it really only just the 8? lol Nothing better than very average at best teams with heads stuck up there own butts I have heard a lot about the Stur side this year being rude, arrogant and In the most part just horrible individuals. Such a change from days gone by. Good luck blandford, if u need a pep talk at all in order to fire up your players on Tuesday let mr green do it for you

The Green reply afrer myself was obviously someone not connected with Stur who can't even get their facts right. Good luck to both teams. Also I HEAR is totally different to knowing, this forum gets filled up with idiots at times.

A great spectacle at the county ground this evening, both teams should be proud of how they conducted themselves, Stur Marshall came out on top eventually winning 2-0 but Blandford played their part!

At the end of the day, Stur struggled to beat a Blandford res team, so they can't be that good!

I'm pretty sure Blandford had a few first teamers out If they did I expect that they did not play in the other cup matches for the 1st team ! What does it matter if stur got the result in the end.

There was no first teamers playing because they're all cup tied, the only difference between the two sides were the strikers, Stur striker could play and Blandfords couldn't

Who cares, they lost! So it doesn't matter if they had 10 first teamers or none!

F off there n10 was there 1st team manager for the last few years, he's played no more than 5 games in 2yeasrs and he was still head and shoulders above the rest! He's not even signed on for the 1st team, but to be fair Stur they deserved their win so shut this thread up!
