Saw the New star breeze through there Q final game today, Mooresy and Notley played well as is expected of them but i was very impressed with the left back cutler who looked very steady and the centre back Vincent who strolled through the game and he also put the penalty away with confidance. who's up next?

I say we cos as a supporter of the Dolphins anything to do with THE team i always say WE, Not that anything really surprises me any more ,but,i don't know where you got your infomation from baldy about the awards but i found out from a fellow supporter that you had forgotten to mention the reserves player of the year Martin Newbury, who, when ever i saw him play was well worth a run in the first team. oh well , never mind neh?

PS. how is the injured player getting on, making a good recovery i hope? I have decided to post on here rather than the clubs own web site as more people seem to respond better on here, you can also see from the lack of talk on the web site that the club are being very sheepish about it all !

Does anyone know who won the end of season trophies for Poole Town reserves this season? Seems no one can be bothered to put it on the Poole web site! To keep it going like he did im sure the manager must have got club man of the year?

Well the curtain has finally come down on the reserve team down at the Tatnam. Shame really cos they had some really promising young and experienced players who will now go and make some other teams better! As nothing can be bothered to be put on there own web site i'll just tell you about the final game if i may! Lymington town decided to field there whole first team for this fixture and seemed to take great joy in winning 5 nil. Just a quick point to make, a Poole player suffered a bad injury in the final minute of the game and had to be carried off to the changing rooms for treatment, did any one at the club seem to care? NO!. Did anyone enquire how he was? NO!. Did any of the hierarchy know or even care that the poor lad had to be carried out to the car park in terrible pain in the dark well after everyone else had gone home? No again i expect. Has anyone enquired on his fitness since? You know the answer by now!! (He's still on crutches if interested)This was the last time that these players were playing for the club and the management team were working there socks off to make sure they played with a bit of pride for the shirt, BUT, where was the 1st team manager, standing on the side watching? Like hell was he, he was at Wimborne instead!!!!! Just to finsh i would like to thank Ian and his wife Judy for all of the hard work put into keeping the team together in what was at times abigger headache than you can imagine. A big thanks to shlong for all the rub downs and relaying the football scores! A big thanks to the tea lady (oh that's Judy) the kit lady (oh that's Judy again) the lady that made the sandwiches ( that's Judy as well) the lady that's had to put up with a tired and grumpy manager when the teams lost ( you've guessed it, it's that judy again) and to finish, any clue on who i think should be club person of the year? I doubt it though eh!

I think you could be right when you say the club are not really bothered. Although it has been in the programmes for the past couple of games and several fans have commented on why this has happened but the reasons given don't really add up! apparently NON of the present reserve side are up to first team football !! strange that, i beleve half of the side that beat a near full Brockenhurst first team last week were those reserve players NOT good enough for the first team!! Hmmm makes me think that maybe faces don't fit.

Poole Town have decided not to run a reserve side next season! I can tell you now that the reserve management team and all of the reserve players sqaud are gutted. At times i know we have struggled to get a side together for away matches due to many reasons but we have had one hell of a run of wins since xmas and should finish a well deserved above of middle table, putting a thrown together side into the wessex combination league was always going to be tough but a great credit to Ian for holding it all together and for his young squad who have not let the club down and done themselves proud. Thanks for the great effort lads just two games to go lets make sure we finish on a high.
