Looks like failings on the managers part and chairman-committee. Every man and his dog knew at Xmas Matt was going to Ham Utd and did he tell Stur? No Not the first time either after applying for Boro job last year without telling anyone. Matt and club far from perfect.

I don't think that is totally correct. A managers job is to do the best they can and hope to have the support of a chairman of committee which by the sounds of it doing transfers behind the managers back isn't helping the manager is it? In fact the committee doing that is bang out of order really. Also I know that Hamworthy didn't actually try and get a new manager until March time do its amazing how you and your dog knew that :-) Really it looks a if the people got out of the club at a good time and I'm sure it will be a interesting season this year with loads of changes to managers at clubs.

League will be the same. Rec Portland and Westlands going for it, Wincanton if they are still in league. Bar that Ham Utd mid table at best, Swanage may improve slightly, Wareham low down everything else is inconsequential.

Have Wareham been accepted then? Will Stur still have 2 teams? One in Senior & 1 in Bmth still?

???so Mike Rees taking management is what i heard. But Morrell realisedthere was nothing to be done with Boro, so he stays on as manager of Boro and lets Stur down, think the barrell was being well and truly scrapped if Stur thought Rees could solve all their problems, don't want bad happening to any team but once the rot sets in there is no turning back, sorry but i have seen it to many times. Times have changed since the chairman was respected and the manager was left to manage.

Just heard the news about Stur M having to fold there Dpl team, i had 2 great seasons with Stur and know what a fantastic set up they have there and the amount of work that the committe do to keep the club going. As with any village club at some point you have to look to appoint a manager from outside which causes its own problems as this manager will want to bring his own players with him. This is great for the team at the time but does put the locals nose out (if they are good enough or not)as and when he decides to leave then you can pretty much gaurantee that the players will leave as well, so its a choice for the smaller clubs do you stick with what youve got or look to build knowing it could all blow up in your face at any point? i dont personally know matt so cant comment but i have followed the team and from what ive seen he has done a good job with the resources he had and no matter who the manager is not everyone is going to be kept happy. i wish him well with his new club and wish Stur all the best for the future.

Sad to see all the bickering, and bullshit flying about, haven't yet managed to speak with Dave Miller, Its not a case of abandoning a sinking ship more a chance to do what many others at this club have tried over the years.
I certainly haven't been promised Wessex football nor made any back hand bum deals, in truth it is a new start, iv been at Stur for the best part of 8 years and im sad to be leaving, I have no complaints about matt or any of the managers iv played under, in fairness matt and abbo have done a good job, Despite abbos bald shiny head and his angry voice mails they took stur a long way.
Thought id put it out there I don't want my name or sturs name dragged through the mud, I have the up-most respect for the likes of kev and Dave and the job the committee have done for so many years.

I was offered all of the above by Morris but am not daft enough to believe it. He first approached me in Feb so why didn't Stur sack the idiot? As for his sidekick scarface, what a brown nose.

What sad act has been digging through the archives to pull this one out the bag? Good to see Stur Marshall have rebuilt and winning league after league with their DPL side
