Does anyone know Who has applied to go up to dpl if anyone at all and who do u think is going to win the league? It looked like Wareham were home and dry a few weeks ago but now it's anyone of 4 for the taking. Would Portland res go up? Prob not due to first team. Is upwey a suitable venue for dPl? Prob not, Kingston lacy the same. Looks interesting to see what happens.

Portland Res can't go into the same league as their first team (who have no intention of going up to the Wessex). Upwey couldn't play at Redlands as it does not fit the grading criteria, maybe they could share the college with Chickerell? Lacy's pitch isn't big enough for schoolboys football and certainly wouldn't be acceptable to the DPL.

If the winners don't have the facilities to go up, the runners up can apply and be accepted if their facilities are acceptable.

Will know more after this sat. Portland playing upwey and wareham have witchampton, another team with mathematical chance of winning it. Very close but I think Portland will do it.

Portland cant come up as Portland 1st not stepping up. Witchampton, Kingston and Upweys facilities are a joke! Warehams pitch is awful but good facilties. Only team with a decent ground is Okeford but they are gash

Hold on dpl player There may be truth in what you say about the facilities etc you mention but you fail to remember that we have to play on awful pitches like holt, Poole boro, tintinhull, cranborne, blandford and in the middle of a council estate in stur marshall. I personally think it should be the best teams in the so-called best league so if any of the teams u mention win the league then they should be allowed to come up providing they have facilities of the level that the dpl have currently. I personally remember playing on both wareham and witchampton pitches both during and after they were in dpl and came away thinking they were pretty good... Def not gash as u mention.

if portland win on saturday then its theirs to throw away, if not then its gona be tight between upwey and lacy, wareham look to have thrown it away and witchampton have got some tough games left, as for promotion wareham look like the only team that can go up with facilities if they finish high enough

Shows how much you know about pitches then. Tintinull and Cranborne have decent grounds.

Cranbornes pitch is awful mate and as for tintinhull, well the pitch and facilities are not good enough so not sure what you are on about. All the best to whoever wins the league but think that wareham will get promoted providing they finish in top 2 which is looking a bit dodgy to be honest looking at the chasing pack who all have games in hand.

By way of interest DPL player who do you play for because you don't seem to know much about pitches or facilities at clubs in DPL.

Parley if u must know so do know my stuff and am very lucky to play on a lovely flat pitch. if u look on the Dorset prem pages regarding pitches you will see other opinions that coincide with mine. This topic is on about who will go up and I was merely replying to someone who started slating the facilities of the 4 or 5teams that could poss win the senior league. So I thought I'd compare to some of those in our own league.

Cant comment on Easton pitch as never played em, dpl you see! ;-) all I kno is that u had to go to a prison to play there didn't you. Bet that was nice for you all. Gd luck to whoever comes up. I'm no big time unlike others who come on here and at least i will say who i am or part of unlike so many of u. Gd luck to whoever comes up, and believe me, cranborne n tintinhull are among worst pitches in our league, so if u think they are decent you will be in for a treat nxt year won't you!

DPL player you are a joke Parley changing rooms and pitch are atrocious and you have the nerve to come on here and slate other teams pitches!!

To be fair Parley have a decent pitch, decent size and flat. Agree about cranborne in autumn it maybe ok but fact is it has a slope. Tintinhull is so small the a team of dwarfs would struggle to have a decent kick about on it. So it cant be one of the best pitches.
You would have to say all things considered its Weymouth.
