After discussions with Irvin's family The Committee of Hamworthy United have decided to try and raise the money to build a new stand, and name it the Irvin Brown Stand as a permanent memorial to this great servant of the Club. With this in mind we will be trying to contact as many EX- Hammers, and as many people who might wish to help us reach our goal.We will also be organising various functions in the coming months to raise money towards this, Irvin was with Hamworthy United as a player, manager, and physio over a period of some 22 years, far longer than his association with any other club. Hamworthy United feel that a permanent memorial next to the pitch where he spent so much of his time, would ensure Irvin is never forgotten. Any donations would be gratefully receive and cheques should be made payable to the Hamworthy United Trust Fund which has been set up for this purpose.
