Will be very interesting to see the punishment handed out to Ham Rec and Swanage when the DPL commitee meet.
Personally i think they should be deducted 3 points like we was last season, AS WE BROKE RULES as we was kept getting told. This was the 1st game of the season as its the curtain raiser so we will just see if the commitee has DOUBLE STANDARDS!!!!!
Those 3 points can cost you at end of season so lets just sit and wait the decision.
Honestly im not BITTER!!!!!!

What exactly have Ham Rec and Swanage done to be punished? They each played an ineligible player in the Charity Shield match. It wasn't a league game so can't see why they should be docked points.

It was Tom Vevraka for Ham, a honest mistake made by the secratry who thought that he had already signed

Oh it was an honest mistake was it......!!!!! Well lets hope you get the same punishment as we did, as our player was signed and witnessed by the ref, but unfortunately lost in the postal strikes. So at least he was signed!!!!! Forgive me if i am wrong, people on this forum kept saying RULES ARE RULES and blame your secretary. So yes RULES have been broken and punishment should be the same as others. Regarding its ONLY the charity shield, as an ex player please correct me if iam wrong. If i was to be sent off in this FIXTURE, would i be excused of a ban as it was the charity shield? ? No i wouldnt, so this is a fixture which starts the season which means all players who play must be registered!!!!!!! Not having a dig at Ham Rec or Swanage cos we aint going to win the league, but i bet you get a favourable result at the committee meeting even though yuo BROKE RULES.

Charity shield. NOT a league match . Cup games will carry an expulsion if an Ineligible player is used and NOT a point deduction. Clubs will get fined but point penalty is not in rules for such a match. As both clubs made mistakes who cares.

The player Swanage didn't have signed on was Nick Taylor. As with Ham Rec we thought he was signed on and made no attempt to hide the fact as he was named on the teamsheet.

I havent stated that you and Ham Rec have tried to hide that the players wasnt signed on.
Just stating that you have broke RULES like Chickerell did last season and wondering what punishment will be dished out.
We had the player on teamsheet for 1st 5 games so wasnt hiding anything, it only come to light when he was used as a sub on 6th game.
Blame your secretary and enjoy the slap on the wrist and £50 fine.

Sure the two clubs will pay their fines and learn for the future. Shame for you that a charity shield match won't come your way as you endure another season of winning nothing. Spend more time on here sniping than trying to play football. Are you called Easton this season?
