Unless you live there not the best option. Look at the league table and you will see Ham Rec are the best side with the best facilities. Whether you are good enough to get in there though who knows. Poole Boro and lots of other great sides in the league. If I had a choice it would be Rec every time

Are u sure when u say ham rec have best facilities!? Sure they are the best side but when u think bout the pitch, a major part of the club, it gets wet very easily and then they have to go and play at corfe mullen rec which doesn't actually fully comply with league rulings of barriers round the pitch and hard standing does it? Mate, if you r any good try, Dorchester, Poole or Wimborne. Just my thoughts....

Well said Best Facilities, if you are any good try a higher league, failing that train at a few DPL clubs and get an idea of the set ups at the clubs. Unless you live in Swanage though, dont go to Swanage.

Recs pitch does suffer in the winter, but on ITS day is the best in the league by a country mile, jealous comments i think, saying that corfe mullen rec is better than most dpl pitches, regardless of the dpl rules!

Rules are rules minty, just ask wareham, allendale and witchampton who all had to leave dpl because of barriers/facilities. Do u think it's fair ham rec get to play on "sub-standard" (dpl's obvious opinion, not mine) pitches and get away with it whereas those clubs cannot compete with dpl anymore. Witchampton and wareham had good seasons last year and have good pitches... Well witchampton do certainly.Allendale too did very well in dpl before they had to leave. Before u ask, I'm not a player, I groundhop most weeks and have done all over Dorset for years so feel qualified to comment on ur remark.

It's true ham recs pitch does suffer in the winter but at least they tried there best to keep matches played during the terrible weather. Anyway the fact Rec played on a pumpy pitch for half a season surely should have evened matches out as rec couldn't play there passing game? Anyway some of the other teams should look for alternatives as well as teams try and play on there own pitch when they become to dangerous. Just a thought!

LETS GET THE FACTS RIGHT, HAME REC PLAYED A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES AT CORFE MULLEN WHEN MOST OTHER TEAMS CALLED THEIR GAMES OFF, THE DPL GAVE PERMISSION BECAUSE OF THE BACKLOG OF FIXTURES, OTHER TEAMS COULD HAVE DONE THE SAME BUT DECIDED OTHERWISE AND ENDED UP WITH A FIXTURE PILE UP.

Think Jealous HA HA hass his facts wrong to, Wareham relegated from league, nothing to do with facilities. Have Alendale and Witchampton ever played DPL? Thought they could not upgrade existing grounds due to ownership by Critchel estates and Town Council not allowing them to erect permanent barrier? However Ham Rec, rightly or wrongly have played games at other venues in previous years due to their pitch being a sponge, as stated though they are making an effort to play the games when others last season postponed games due to not having one or two players available and other teams did not even cmplete their full fixture list which is unbelievable and in all honesty is a joke. Yours sincerely, No affilliation to Ham rec whatsoever.

if you want to be picky i think you will find that weymouth have the best facilities by a COUNTRY MILE! ham rec do have a nice pitch but no floodlights i would say portlands facilities are also better and both these clubs own there facilities and arent playing at a sports club. so stop trying to big urselfs up ham rec oh and also you cant go any higher, jokers!

embarassing do u mean? maybe so but no money means no team as thats how football works. with 2000 pound a wk budget they aint going to be great but the debate was facilities and they win that one. and anyone from the dpl would get smashed every wk in the zameretto league anyway they r still in a league head and shoulders above dpl. i bet there reserves will do ok again in this league this yr. think there floodlights r a little bit better than anyone elses even if they cant afford to put them on. oh i forgot most of the teams dont even have floodlights, poor show!
