Any news on what the make up of the league is likely to be next season? Anybody coming up? I did hear that Easton were going to apply. They play at the prison I hear. Have they been accepted? Will Stur Newton be relegated?

Easton not going up, their manager has jacked it in too because of it, threw his toys out and is now hoping to pick up vacant chickerell managers position if the dorset echo is correct. I played at the prison last year against Easton and have to say the pitch was very poor and unbelivably small. They were hoping to move to a pitch outside the prison but still change inside so making getting in and out a nightmare and also would make half time going back to changing rooms very hard indeed. As for the rest ofthe teams in senior league, I would imagine only witchampton or wareham could poss go up but haven't heard anything.

Thanks for the response. I think that in order to be eligible for promotion to the DPL a team must finish in the top 2 of the senior league, that would rule out Witchampton and wareham. Upwey & Broadwey finished 2nd, I don't know if they would be interested or whether Redlands would be an acceptable venue. Looks like a reprieve for Stur Newton.

I'm not sure being In the top 2 is necessarily correct. I only say that as Weymouth Sports turned down the opportunity to go up last season after finishing 5th in the league that year. I found thus out after talking to their manager after a match this season. But you are right, Redlands is not worthy of the premier league, as per the rules of barriers and hard standing etc. Surely the best teams should be in the best league though... It sort of only makes sense doesnt it? I'm sure stur Newton will be in prem next season.

Some sort of follower you are, I think you will find that Weymouth Sports were in the top 2 last year, and that you need to be to get a chance of promotion.

Sorry, my mistake they finished 5th this year, not last year... Sorry. Won't make a difference anyway, no one will go up this year anyhow, from what I hear the senior league next year should b quite large year with apparently the top half of the reserve league as well as some from div 1. the rest of reserve league to go into div 1. I will save my energy for the extra games rather than give u bad info on here.
