it will be a straight fight between chickerall and ham rec for the title! i think ham rec will beat chickerall again but will drop more points to other teams, weymouth are still gonna be struggling if ppl for get they got hammered by ham rec and drew with stur m, u cant go by there big win against stur n cus they are rock bottom

The weather is taking its toll on the leagues fixtures. Is it best to have the points in the bag or the games in hand??? Looks to be the best title race for many years and some very good sides. Ham Rec or Chickerell for the title.

Congratulations to Gareth Daniel and his Ham Rec team for being not only top of the league at christmas but undefeated. My prediction is Ham will go on to win the league, only question is will they do it unbeaten???

dont think they will do it unbeaten they will have alot of tough matches 2 come im sure swanage could do them a favour tommorow tho and beat weymouth at days park cld put a bit of daylight between it but saying that could keep swanage up there with chickerill and holt and westlands etc my prediction is it will still b tight at the top come the end of the season i personally fancy chickerill still but id rather have the points than the games in hand

Agree with last post I'd rather have the points in the bag although I see if chickerell win there's they do go top. I don't think ham rec expect to go the season unbeaten but the fact they have played all the sides in the league except stur marsh and cranborne which you would expect them to win. I don't think any of the so called top side frighten them on the day. It's just making sure they don't drop silly points as the lower teams as chickerell don't seem to be dropping silly points.

Having seen most games this season I have to admit Ham Rec taught us a lesson when we played them and were awesome. They, unlike us and other sides have played the title contenders and all away from home. Yes we have games in hand but have to visit Rec so it is in their hands. It will be tight but feel they have been there before and are unstopable in big games. Happy xmas to all in the DPL.

In response to the previous post. I saw that game and Rec were abismal and had players suspended missing and injured. Arguably should have won as they should have against Westlands when they had their keeper sent off after 25 mins. Is this a measure of a championship winning side when they get results like this against title contenders when things are not going for them?

Who is the rec boss and where has he managed before? obviously shaken the players up to make the club a powerful force again. How much is this costing him or the powers that be? ?

the title will be close and rec will not have it all there own way thats for sure especially wen we meet them again but would just like to say that our pitch was ok today but ham utd could not raise a side!!!!!!!!!! yet again another chapter in the joke of the supposedly best league in dorset. whats goin on another 100 pound fine i suppose and we would of smashed them no disrespect. any thoughts on these stupid occurances???

Did not think either ham or swanage fielded full sides in senior cup and know the rec manager was away that night. Still think rec for title as signed some good players and getting Davidson back soon from injury

Ham rec played swans in the league at the beginning of the season at swanage. I heard from players from both sides that Rec deserved to win and should have scored 5 goals in the space of 10 mins after half time. Still swans are always a tough team to play on there day but perhaps struggle against the lower sides of the league. I think swans will get a footballing lesson from Rec on a good pitch. There long ball style works at there place but not on a good pitch. Anyway I still think The Chickens will claim the title!

i think ul find swanage play well on nice pitches like last year when they came 2 rec and beat them 4-0!!!!! swans have a good record against ham rec and certainly are looking forwards too them away from home think we all know it was a good game!! and the 1-1 game was tight draw a fair result i would say. i dont deny that ham rec will b up there but i think itl be chickerill for the league with ham rec second

after yesterdays results has the title become a 2 horse race? holt got beat chickerall won again and gradually climbing up the table and ham rec stay unbeaten. the dpl website said that they beat cranborne unconvincingly! 3-1 is a decent scoreline i would of thought
