See the Ringwood Town manager is looking to jack it in. Could this be a good job for some DPL managers? Always thought someone with a bit of nous and the chance of getting some money up there could do quite well - nice little set up with plenty of potential.

Don't know the guy but some of the lads have said that an ex-DPL manager has been spoken to - Justin?
Never played in the DPL so not heard of him but hope Jy stays, think most of the players want the same.

Another loss last night. Surely the guy has got to go following his comments a couple of weeks ago.

Looks like the guy is finally on his way. Rumours are that the players are fed up with him and can't believe he's played himself in games recently.

It comes as no surprise,
He became a father for the first time as this thread started so you have to understand that's he's under pressure over his priorities in life.
But saying that, he is a school teacher and tends to talk to players in the same way so it comes as no surprise for the latest comment.
Give him fair dues that he wants play total football but winning is all that matters. From the start of the season, the team had the players to mount a serious challenge for immediate promotion but the club has been living in the eighties since the last success of Bob Simpson et al.
I hear on the grapevine that some of the players want money but that is never going to happen at Ringwood. Some players like Charlet Piersomn have tried elsewhere and have not succeeded so that does tell you something.

I don't come on here very often - afterall it is a Dorset website - however it has been interesting to read the comments made about me.
Amongst the drivel there is some truth in here. I have decided to step down as manager at the end of the season. Mainly, as one of the previous posts suggested, as a result of a young baby and the precise time commitments needed to run a Wessex League side.
I will not, however, be leaving the club. It is an exciting time here at Long Lane. We have just agreed an amalgamation with the very successful Youth side and a new committee is in place to take over in June. We have secured funding for renovation of the clubhouse and are looking at plenty of other opportunities for the future.
Whilst this season has not been as successful as I would have liked, we have actually had a positive year. We did well in our first FA Cup venture - and have entered again for next year. We launched our website, that has now has over 50,000 hits and we have been involved in a successful Lucozade promotion that has resulted in us winning through to finals day at Carrington training complex in Manchester - we hope to remain involved in the promotion next season.
We are now looking for a new manager to take the club forward at first team level. We have had a number of applicants so far but would like as many candidates to chose from as possible. The right person will have experience, contacts and, most importantly, fit in with the ethos of the club.
We do not and will not pay players until the number of supporters paying to watch justifies this. This position will not change and I, along with the rest of the committee, am of the firm belief that Wessex One can be won without the need to pay players. We provide a first rate, fully qualified physio, good training facilities and equipment and plenty of training-wear.
Anyone who maybe interested should get in contact with the Chairman - Derek Kirby on 07960 196978 - or forward a letter and CV to ringwoodtownfc@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks
Jy

Good luck with your new role as a dad, you will be missed at Ringwood. I know how time consuming , stressful and frustrating it is running a side with no budget and players who sometimes do not show as much commitment that is required to succeed.
