after looking at the poole town website i aint stopped laughing for an hour or so. they are moaning about there being 2 clubs in poole and how that poole town are being kept behind by the council of poole. they honestly believe that they should be given grants etc from the council to get them to a professional level. jesus wept, this is the wessex league. poole town officials and supporters moan about poole borough playing at turlin moor yet they play on a school field . can they please wake up and reailse that this league is ok but look at the teams like bashley etc.. their wage bill is unbeliveable compared to the wessex. then the next step like dorch and weymouth. look at their stadiums, (not bus stops) and their wage bill. come on poole town the old faithful fans of the last 30 years please wake up and smell the coffee you are living in the past. you used to be a big club, but are now not. be happy where you are.

Dear What the,
To add to your point...
Bashley: have always had "benefactors" who have put there money into the club, even though the pitch has been poor in the past Weymouth: Ditto When Poole Town got turfed out of the stadium, the supporters went into two groups and the infrastructure sort of disappeared. By all accounts they were lucky to get Tatnam Farm as the local teams enjoyed playing on it.

poole is a big town and should have a stadium to reflect that. poole town are top of the wessex league and in the last 32 of the vase. poole borough are to be frank an irrelevance. they play in a very poor league and dont seem to have any credibility locally. i have just started watching poole town this season . i often bring my 2 young children. they should have better facilities than they have . they were kicked out of the stadium by the council and the council should find them and help fund a better ground. local kids should view playing for poole town as an honour and this is not likely to be the case without a decent ground. they seem to have a dynamic young manager and team, together with a forward thinking board they just need help to upgrade the ground so they can progress.

why should poole have a big stadium! what do you mean that young kids should feel an 'honour' to play for poole town. there are a lot of teams in the area so why should playing for poole be such an honour.(jesus christ it must be an honour to play for man utd chelsea arsenal etc...) wimborne, hamworthy, poppies and christchurch are all good teams in the same league as poole.can we please get back to the fact that this is the wessex league and hardly the conference. i think there are a few people getting a bit excited at poole at the moment. its localish football after all. bloody hell!!!

it was an Honor to play for my town, i would of played for nothing, it was a sad day, when we left the stadium, and a disaster when the club split in two, good to see town doing so well this season, not so sure the manager is dynamic but the wage bill helps, anyway well done town, you are going in the right direction, while the borough rot on the moor, with shocking management appointments and no real clue what they are doing!

the point is poole is a big town with a large population which surely merits a decent ground. look at dorchester and weymouth! poole seem to be doing well on the field and as far as budgets are concerned although no one knows for sure i understand its widely accepted that vospers totton and wimborne have the biggest resources so poole must be doing something right

what is your problem "what the " ? it was on our web-site,nobody has come on here shouting about the town ,only since you brought it up. we haven't a problem with boro, they are not on our radar ! personally, speaking with my heart ,i would to get back where we belong, but in my head,i think that the wessex is more financially sensible.

To be fair anyone who thinks that poole town shouldnt be playing at a higher standard is deluded. Poole as a town needs to have a team playing at a high standard like weymouth or bournemouth and seeing that Poole Town basically have the biggest tradition in the area and have come closest to league football its a fair shout to say they should be doing better and as a town everything should be done to make this possible. With all due respect could anyone see Hamworthy or Poole Borough making the rise up through the leagues, No

So Poole Town get a of sniff of promotion and are back on the whinge again, bemoaning their lot, dissing their neighbors and slagging off the council because they think they have a right to better facilities but are not prepared to pay for it themselves.
Let's face it, it was Poole Town who wanted to set themselves up on a school playing field, with external funding covering the majority of the cost of grandstand, floodlights etc. Now suddenly it is not good enough for them. Well I am sorry, you made your choices and should therefore be made to stick with them. I really can't see the alternative solution which is doing the rounds being a viable option!
Everybody knows Hamworthy United have the best facilities in the town by far, and there is potential at Turlin Moor for Poole Borough to push on as and when they are ready. I wouldn't think either club gives a stuff about Poole Town's predicament and probably the only reason Town fans are dissing them is that they realise both clubs are in a potentially better position to push on than they are.

hamworthy do have the potential to push on!! but town are in a better possition right now, borough though are in no mans land, i find it hard to believe that they are going anywhere, with such poor management appointments, when will they learn, they should find someone who has played at higher levels, and who is experienced, like our mr killick. up the town.

Anyone knows that to progress up the pyramid the ground is as important as the playing staff. Poole Town have never come to terms with this, hence the sudden realisation that having spent big money on the team, they are going nowhere while they remain at Tatnam. Maybe they should have spent their money on the facilities in preference to the playing squad. Hamworthy United are in a far better position than Town will ever be at Tatnam, and I agree with the post that having taken money from the council to develop Tatnam, they should live with their decision and allow the next tranche on money to go to another worthy club.

I feel it is time for me to add my 5 eggs to the debate that is Poole Town. As you well know Tommy left me high and dry however after watching Scrooged at xmas I was greeted by a strange sensation.
It happened at about 11.55pm on xmas eve and the lyrics of Put a Little Love in Your heart were belting out in the credits when I was greeted by a flash of lightening, a great stench and a strange smelly little fella with a loud cackle and smug grinning wearing the Wimborne colours from 1992 and all that. He was shaking his rather large magic wand in my face, whilst shaking and shreiking with delight. As the Elvis was about to set in he told me to have a tug and things will get alot better for me. As I participated in such a pleasurable activity everything squirted in my face and then things took a turn for the better. You see I was offered the opportunity to better myself at the mighty G Borough. The jersey and gloves suddenly became visable as a wiped my face dry.
What can i say - life is a peach, as is the strange little wimborne strip wearing fellas behind. Okay I need to do a little travelling but it is all worth it when me and the geenie have our special moments together. Life is so great and Tommy needs to know that. On xmas day I got a great Abba Cd - just what I have always wanted and one song stood out to how my life has changed for the better. This is for you Tommy.....
I don't wanna talk About things we've gone through Though it's hurting me, now it's history I've played all my cards And that's what you've done too Nothing more to say, no more ace to play
The winner takes it all The loser's standing small Beside the victory, that's her destiny
I was in your arms Thinking I belonged there I figured it made sense building me a fence Building me a home Thinking I'd be strong there But I was a fool playing by the rules
The gods may throw a dice Their minds as cold as ice And someone way down here Loses someone dear
The winner takes it all (takes it all) The loser has to fall (has to fall) It's simple and it's plain Why should I complain
But tell me does she kiss Like I used to kiss you Does it feel the same When she calls your name Somewhere deep inside You must know I miss you But what can I say, rules must be obeyed
The judges will decide (will decide) The likes of me abide (me abide) Spectators of the show, always staying low The game is on again (on again) A lover or a friend (or a friend) A big thing or a small (big or small) The winner takes it all (takes it all)
I don't wanna talk if it makes you feel sad And I understand You've come to shake my hand I apologize if it makes you feel bad Seeing me so tense, no self-confidence But you see
The winner takes it all The winner takes it all
So the winner takes it all And the the loser has to fall Throw a dice, cold as ice Way down here, someone dear Takes it all, has to fall....
Love Maxxy xx

We play in the borough of poole just the same as a few other teams. Why should the local authority be expected to fund or part fund a football stadium for any one clubs sole use.Obviously there is no love lost between us and them but they are living in dream land if they think they are a special case .As usual you slag off other clubs notably us, which honestly makes us laugh. but why slate Poole Boro what has it to do with you what they do at their club. The biggest non league club in this area is without a doubt Wimborne but your obsessed withem. Get a reality check you are not the great non league giants you are trying to portray. The population of Poole is about 140,000 so your home crowd of less than 300 dont truly represent the population. Now as for the football i wonder if Totton ended your season yesterday,OH how could i forget your gonna win the vase ididnt know Truro had pulled out.Just like to add good luck for the rest of the season (yeah right) And finally good luck Maxy son see you soon for a beer NO SURRENDER.

Well said Hammertime
Yes Poole Town are doing well at the moment and good luck to them. But why mention the Boro all the time the club split and thats that PBFC have never taken anything away from Poole Town so hence dont warrant the slagging off. What we have achieved is through hard work and determinatin as for slagging off management appointments and going nowhere just because we dont spout our business about like other clubs!
I am sure we are not the first club to lose a manager mid season are we??
Still if we are being talked (ha ha!) about at least we must still exist!!??
Can i just add that had PTFC had done the right thing in the past with regards to moving to Turlin Moor i feel that they would have had a stadium and social club there by now and would have probably not split and would have been back in the Conference South at least
but that is water under the bridge now and all i would say is things come to those who work hard and dont whinge and expect things on a plate

. poole had crowd of 430 hamworthy at a guess would have probably had around 60. hamworthy cant generate any money to get a decent team together. poole town are easily as big as wimborne as a club have beaten them twice already and are higher in the league. as for boro are good socialable club but play in a very bad league. poole town are on the up . jealousy is a terrible thing hamworthy fans so here is a tip just dont look at the league table

You have totally missed the point. If you are generating this level of interest then use the money which is coming in to bring your ground up to standard, rather than expect someone else do do it for you.
What I would guess is happening is that any money going into the club is covering a highly inflated wage bill, meaning once you have bought your bit of success, the begging bowl comes out and we hear demands on the Council because you are a 'big' club.
Face facts. Once you rivaled Weymouth and Dorchester, now you rival Wimborne and Hamworthy United and having already had significant development paid for you to get to Wessex level, people will struggle to see why you deserve more if you are not channeling the majority of your income in that direction too. You will find most clubs get the ground right first then push for promotion, not the other way round.
