This forum seems to be getting deader and deader, then just to make matters worse, the moderator deletes the only two threads that were getting any intereset! Whats that all about then?
Mr Moderator, Most forums, even the most heavily moderated, hardly ever delete whole threads. OK, it's your forum so you can do what you like, and there was some petty rubbish in the Sports threads, but there were also some valid comments. Also, it's common net courtesy to tell people why threads or even posts are removed (without them having to ask you). People invest a significant amount of thier time contributing to threads in your forum. It's not acceptable to delete everything without saying why.
Slightly related, old threads seem to be 'cleaned up' a bit too quickly too. I remember an old thread about how Tevez was ten times better than Rooney. I went back to look for said thread after Tevez's arrival in the Premiership, only to find it had been deleted.

Thank you for your post concerned,
In short, the reason why whole threads are deleted is because in the forums fledgling days the was an obscene amount of slander and derogatory comments which became impossible to manage post by post we found that deleting a thread is the most effective way managing the situation which of course isn't ideal but what we believe to be the best course of action.
Regarding deletion of old posts your comments have been taken on board and noted.
Thank you for using the Dorset Football Forum

Moderator, Thanks for the reply. I understand your point. I know it's hard to manage the junk on this site, but it's a bit disheartening to spend time thinking about responses only to see the whole thread deleted because of junk from someone else in the thread. If you're going to do that, a little note would go a long way, but that should be a last resort (IMHO). I know it's more work, but deleting the offending threads is the way to go.

Just a point moderator, why is it that sometimes when a request for an e-mail address to be hidden, it still shows up? i know many people who will not use the site because they do not want to be known to all and sundry.
