So we're a few weeks in now and I was wondering what players in the Reserve League and Senior League think of the new structure?
I play in the Senior League and reckon the standard has slightly dropped overall, but I'm also interested in how Reserve League team's are finding playing in a league with no chance of promotion or danger of relegation...

i play in the senior league aswell and in my opinion the standard has improved from last year although we have played the top four, wil be interesting to see how the rest fair but so far an improvement on last year, also the amount of teams in the league is a big disapointment with teams pulling out wil be interesting to see if anyone gets relegated at the end of the season as more numbers are needed to make it a decent league

Ok maybe I should rephrase my comments -
I think that the gap between the top and the bottom of the table has increased - already in the season there have been a number of comprehensive victories for the teams at the top of the league - although I must say that Okeford have surprised a few with a couple of draws against top four teams.

yeh would agree on that, i can see wey sports and wincanton fighting it out for top but yeh okeford have done the best out of the promoted teams so far have seen them and they look a fairly solid unit good on the break!

weymouth sports are a promoted side. okeford too and both are going well. i don't think you can judge moreton or weymouth spartans as both sides have lots of players out. the spartans had 13 players out against weymouth sports and ten out last weekend against the witches i hear. i think the standard around the county will continue to drop as long as the dcfa allow so many teams to enter the bottom leagues. they always attract decent players with the lure of trophies making it harder for senior clubs and above to build competitive sides. look at the teams who have folded over the past few years because of the poor commitment from players, Weymouth United, Stourpaine, Wey Post Office, Hurst, Dorch YMCA, Dorch United to name a few. All competitive sides in the top three leagues.
