they must be getting a bit desperate for points if they have to do that, after beating ham res at the in the pre season you would think they would be confident or did they have first team players in then? keep us posted on what night to come and watch the game

Maybe you only found out on Friday the game was off but everyone I know was aware well before that.
And no - first team was not short of players.
And finally I can guarantee that the match was not rescheduled in order for Poole to put out first team players. That is not the way the Reserves work - they will win, draw or lose on their own efforts.
And besides there are better teams in the DSL than Ham Utd reserves to worry about even if they did want to do that!!

paper stated how short the first team were so not point lying. Lets face it Hammers would have stuffed Poole and can't wait to play them (if they don't wimp out next time), hammers have quality unlike poole who are junk - bring it on - next time no rubbish excuses please

Fine if this is just banter, but if you actually believe what you're saying, you both need to grow up a bit.
If the game was called of because our first team needed several reserves on Saturday, then the bottom line is that the only reserve team regular that was in our squad was Paul Bayston.
Also, if you care to find out things for yourselves (rather than just repeat hearsay with your own cynical conclusions tacked on), take a drive by our ground and have a look at the works going on. The power supply to the dressing rooms had been disconnected so there would not have been any lighting or hot water.
As for the article in the paper, yes we did have some injury problems - Lee Manning, Neal Spalding, Matt Hayfiled and Anthony Warrington were all unavailable. Aaron Turner only played after passing a late fitness test. You can try and link this with the reserve team postponement if you want, but don't try and claim theory as fact.

not sure there are many if any better teams in the dsl than ham res, if the first half of last season reflected the second a top 3 finish was on the cards and they have a better team now. i know its early season but apart from chickeral, barwick and portland who i think will be there at the end i dont see anyone else challenging, allendale look dodgy and arent picking up points, gillingham have gone backwards as have wimborne and poole town dont look to be as good as might have first been thought. my top 5 prediction is barwick, chickeral, ham res, portland, weymouth, not nessesarily in that order, the next few weeks will be interesting according to the apparent fixtures in stall.

I agree League watcher - don't think your going to be far wrong with your predictions. I think Hamworthy will be top three along with Chickerall - not sure who else will last the season...

Hamworthy will def. be up there knocking on the door to be getting into the premier league!! They are probably a mid-table team in the premier league, and will def. hold there own against the big boys!! im sure they will relish the challenge if given the chance
