Mere are a good side and still unbeaten, dont think they will be caught. They apparently have a bit of money to develop ground and facilities too so dont be surprised to see them do well next year if they manage to go up. As for ex DPL teams, i think its fair to say they are very much under strength compared to the sides they had in the DPL. Standard is ok, on their day the top 4 or 5 teams could give DPL teams, especially in the lower half a run for their money but probably not consistently over a season but also fair to say standard in all local leagues has got a bit worse in past 5 or so years. No offence intended.

I've noticed most of the teams in the league are filled with youngsters, which is good to see and may be part of the reason for the slight drop in standard but no doubt it will improve as they become more experienced. As for the two ex DPL teams I know they both have pretty much new squads from last season so you can't really compare. Mere Town look good for the title, big lad up top is a handful and good luck to them if they can go up.

mere town will win it by a stretch , witchampton and westlands will finish 2nd and 3rd. stur marshall , weymouth sports or stourpane will come bottom , all poor teams and probably dont deserve to be in the league.

Agree Mere will win by a country mile.... Not though with 2nd and 3rd predicitons... It will be Gill res and Kingston Lacy 2nd and 3rd. Westlands too far away to catch up and Witchampton in bad run of form after being beaten twice by your supposedly bankers of bottom 3 very recently.... shows how good they must be a? Whats going on at Okeford? Normally a decent saide but have heard they may be pulling out of league because their pitch doesnt like water and now have too many games to play.... it cant be that bad surely?

Yep mere will win, had a couple of good games against them ourselves this season. Looking at 3rd minimum for us 2nd might just be to much after our poor start. League has got slightly weaker teams like stur marshall are an embarrassment okeford and portland also really bad.

if lacey finish in the top 2 or 3 will they apply to come into DPL? Lacy's pitch is the size of an under 11s pitch. No way could they play on that in the DPL.

Kingston Lacy have been told they need to make their pitch bigger, lovely surface but it really is too small.

This may be the case but i believe that in the Handbook it actually states that minimum pitch size for DPL is actually smaller than it is for DSL so therefore there is no need to increase size of their pitch. They wont go up anyway so bit of a pointless debate.

Sorry, I meant that they need to make their pitch bigger to STAY in the league.
