I see PTFC have lost leigh Phillips to Poppies that is a big BIG blow to PTFC , but have resigned Karim Benssaouda as his replacement, not sure this is a good move for everyone, any views?

Not good news . He unsettles other players and spends more time suspended than playing. He appears to be a panic buy by Tommy after losing Phillips.

Well first of all, all the best to Ian in his new role at Poole Town, sounds like he did very well at Hamworthy, so looking forward to seeing if he can get the Poole town reserves playing good football.
Secondly, great to see Karim back at Poole Town. He was a real favourite before, yes we all know how frustrating he can be, but... he is a quality goalscorer and they are few and far between in the wessex league. All the best Karim

Lets see how many games he can play before his next long suspension. Why do you think no other Wessex League sides wanted to know Karim when he left Poppies under a storm last season.

Yes we all know that Karim has his faults, but you cannot deny that he is a quality player. I hear that he has given Tommy assurances about his behaviour and will be giving up sunday football so lets give him a chance.
A gamble worth taking in my opinion.

There are a few players around with a temper, cannie at wimborne and moores at hamworthy could fall into this bracket, but if they are quality players then they are sometimes worth the risk!?

He has probably done that at Poppies and Hamworthy when he joined them, but yes give him the benefit at the moment as this will be his last chance at this level I would think. I hope Poole are not going to be paying him a large wage, let him prove himself first by completing half a season without getting sent off

Wow what a signing that would be, be great to get Sammy Lockyer at Poole too!! Hammers seem to be losing quite a few players, with White gone to Gosport and Walker has left too.

well poole only had 2 top players, phillips and funnel, so funnell must be on his way out. i predict wimborne as they are needing a re-shuffle.

Thanks for all the interest in Poole and as its not on our site shows from non Poole supporter comments that Poole are the biggest (are on the way back) and most talked about club in the area. Don't take my word for it the stats don't lie, We have the best and biggest support in the Bournemouth (behind AFC Bournemouth) area.
All the best players are surrounded by controversy even in the pro game i.e Rooney (not that Karim is Rooney) etc. People change and learn hope Karim proves them wrong. As for quality players Poole had their best run when Funnell was out injured with people like Hogan, Knowles, Chivers, Harris etc etc excelling and with great youngsters like Sturgess and Bayston coming through bring on next season and more panic buys.
Please (i know you want to ) respond good or bad comments accepted, love the interest in Poole and long may it continue. Hope your clubs get the odd bit of interest and good luck to you all in the new season.
