Was just wondering what the standard of football is like with this team? By the looks of it they have had too decent results with a 4-1 win against Hampshire looking particularly impressive! Should be interesting to see how they cope against the DPL in november as i will be no doubt wanting to see this game, Should be quite intriguing to see how they cope. Any opinions on who has impressed in these games? who could play higher? and are there any players you think should be added to this squad that haven't been called into it as of yet?

They should lose to be honest and if you listen and read everything written on the DPL forum on here there either seem to be players who really rate themselves and think DPL is an amazing standard of football, which it clearly isnt, or it is full of wind up merchants just trying to stir trouble.
The problem i see with the DFL side is that the manager runs a side and not in the top league so how he knows who the best players is beyond me, although judging by the amount of Weymouth and surrounding area based players its not hard to find out where he is getting his information from.
Nothing against the guy asking opinions but they could have written a letter to each Senior league club asking to send say 3 players from each side to a trial and then he could see who is suitable not listen to other managers who are going to biased towards their own sides players.
I know these games have only been set up for the DPL to get more games so not really too much to read into it i guess.

Robert Froud - Stur Newton
Josh Why & Nick Etherington - Chickerell
Neil Kellaway - Piddletrenthide
Simon Edwards - Witchampton
Jason Bundy & Mike Rousell - Westlands
Reece Foster - Gillingham
Many more too that are better than what the current side consist of. I watched game against Hampshire and althoug he scored that donkey centre half made me and my mates watching laugh. From same team as the manager too so no wonder why they are in league they are.#cantrun

Where can I see the squad? Don't know if he's in, but the lad up front from Stur Marshall is as good as I have seen in this league for a while and I've been around for a few years now. Don't know his name, Jordan something?

And i would imagine the squad would not look much different this time as they have had two good results, I know there is a friendly This tuesday against Merley Cobham Sports at Swanage 7.45 KO.

Try the Weymouth Spartans website. The Spa manager runs the rep side and he uses his website for the rep team squad/mini match reports etc

Yet again its almost entirely a squad of Weymouth and close proximity players again.. plus 5 from Division 1.... No Fisk from Stur Marshall? No one from Westlands, Corfe Mullen and only one very overrated player from Witchampton in there too.
Good luck to the team, really hope you do over the big time charlies of the DPL but think you will get very much found out. Advice is to Play the best team available mr manager, not just your mates and get advice from people other than weymouth based teams for gods sake!
