You are right Poole fan stats do'nt lie that is why Hamworthy United are the best Club in Dorset, other than Weymouth and Dorchester according to the Leagues. We won the Wessex Cup last Year and the Dorset Senior Cup this year. We beat Poole three times out of three last season, and what have you won in the last few years?

Only two have left Michael White and Steve Legg from last season's regular 1st Team players both good players but Phil is well underway with talking to a couple of replacements and has already signed a couple from Ham Rec to strengthen the forward line one being Mike Notley another two could well be returning to the club.

Good to see two of the twenty Ham Fans are responding. As for been best in area for last two years, possibly right, but if you want to quote the past best local non league teams in the past must be Poole Town in the 60s 70s 80s Wimborne in the 90s. Ham Recs recent achievements must over shadow Ham United when they won the Dorset Senior cup all the big guns were in I.E Dorchester Weymouth, next year will be your test now that you are losing your players. But saying that good luck to you especially in the Vase, & FA CUP important for all the Dorset Clubs to do well.

Wouldnt bother me if they left to be honest, of course all great players but no one players is bigger than the club. It's great to have Karim back and he has the ability to score at least as many goals as Leigh did last season. Steve Strong is another good addition to an already good squad and I would be more dissapointed if we lost some of the young stars at Poole like Luke Whitley and Sean Hogan.

Thanks Town Fan for your concern about us losing players next year but as previosly stated as far as I know it is only two from the team that beat you in the Cup, and it appears you are losing your three best players so I would not count your chickens especially if you are relying on Karim. Thank you for the History lesson but thats what all your succsses in by gone days are History . In the meantime lets look forward to another interesting season next year

Its a shame that we have all this bickering on here. I support Poole but enjoy watching Hamworthy in midweek games when Poole are not playing, both teams have some excellent players and yes it looks like both teams may be losing some but lets see who they bring in as I know that Poole have already signed some good players.
Best of luck to both teams, lets keep the success in Poole and not let the likes of Gosport run away with the league.

Going back, once again, to the original thread, yes it is true that I have been appointed as the manager of Poole Town Reserves and i am looking forward very much to working alongside Tommy Killick and all of the PTFC players, staff & supporters. We have made a big step up and are now in the Wessex Combination Division One. Our aim is quite simple and that is to run a strong reserve team in a high standard league which will allow players to develop and provide for the 1st team. If any player feels he could make an impact on the Wessex League ? Pre season starts 7.00pm at the Tatnam Ground on Thursday 6th July and I look forward to meeting players new and existing.
