I have read all that has been written by you all....i for one do not wish to get involved in your bantering........... I didnt realise the cut was so deep in around POOLE.
However I would like to point out that PTFC applied for the highest level that they could outside the Sydenhams Wessex Combination thus supporting the Dorset Football Association.....which I believe you should, the DFA could have made us start at a lower level but chose not too. I for one am very happy.......
As to playing 16 year olds.....Yes I will have at least 5 in squad of 16, yes they may well start.........these 16s year olds are the same players that Wimborne Town and Hamworthy Utd have been trying to sign....the same players who have been coached professionally since 9 years of age at AFC Bournemouth and have only just been released, 2 have recently been asked to return to the Youth Set up at AFC.
I have a striker who at the age of 17 was representing Hampshire u21.
To put things in to perspective I was brought to Poole Town to Develope young players to give them a stage to perform on or a stage to fail.....not to win DSL and get promoted....not to Hammer sides, cos that wont happen, yes we will lose games, we will learn from these loses...the big picture is can these players became first team players in the next 18 months.........
Players are never to young to play above there age group...protect them, coach them.
Here's a little tale for you 2 seasons ago I was manager of the under 18s, Xchurch had to play AFC Totton on a Tuesday the following sat they had the FA Vase match at Devizes. 8 of my 16 years were chosen to play the AFC Totton game on the Tuesday 5 started 3 on the bench, by the end of the match we had 8 16year olds playing, we lost 4-2........2 weeks previous Totton beat the full first team 5-1 at Xchurch.
You guys carry on with your banter,
who ever you are and what ever team you support, good luck to you all.........and if you cant make it to your clubs away match...and my lads are at home you are most welcome to come along.
KJ

Its seems Mr Atkins has deserted this post I'll take it that you agree with me that PBFC Reserve manager isnt as good a manager as may have us believe

Sorry Guys but i will not be drawn into any more postings on here after this one.
Wheter you like it or not, as you say OUR SECRETARY, as said before, has got us promotion 2 seasons running now and before that I got the Reserves out of division 4 by winning the title and league cup in the same season, this feat was copied by our 1st team doing exactly the same in the old Dorset 1 (now senior League).
This is something that NO TEAM IN DORSET LEAGUE HISTORY has ever done before, now, we WILL go down in history for that.
Unfortunately with other commitments, i had to step down as Reserve team manager adn i became assistant to OUR SECRETARY who brought in his own players and did things his own way to get us promotion, this was bettered this season just gone as we won the league , as you all know.
Little be known to you all that Our SECRETARY and myself ARE Qualified COACH`S to the level one, we are looking at doing the level two very soon.
Faustino, are you a qualified coach? Solvoman, you?
Somehow, i do not think so.
NUFF SAID.
BRING ON WINCHESTER CITY.
Dont forget the BIG game on SATURDAY 10th JULY DOWN AT TURLIN MOOR, 3PM KICK OFF.
TROPHY COMING WITH THEM PEEEEEEEEEEEPLE. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ha ha qualifications means prizes do they.
Its not school. And like I said with a substantial amount of first team players and the first team training you get your manager has hardly moved heaven and earth to get you promoted. the seasons you have got promoted you've matched expectations seasons you havent you have failed miserably

Im not even going to come down to your level Atkins
I was talking about the season before last when you were in Div 3.
I was mearly pointing out that well done your manager has matched expectations so for but for him to be called some kind of supermanager is wrong

Come on Steve - at least get your facts right!
Borough Reserves came Second to Holt in Division 3 N&E the Season before last - and were promoted.
The lowest position they have finished was 4th in their first season 2000/01 where they missed promotion by one point.
Full record for the first four seasons D4 - 4, D4 -1, D3 - 2, D2 - 1.
It is all on the Borough site if you want to check it out!!
I my opinion running a reserve side can have more problems the a first team - with call-ups of your best players and having to accommodate players not selected for the firsts and maybe a little less motivated.
I know it is against your nature, but give Giles and Lee a bit of credit. What's you management record like?

Fair point a bit patchy on the actual record there.
Its a fair cop.
But you also have to agree that it also has its advantages being a reserve team to an organised first team with a fair few quality footballers.
Credit wheres credit is due but I was just saying that to suggest that the managment team or some kind of heroes would be wrong

Faustino,
As you are clearly a Poole Town fan and fairly entitled to your opinion i feel that your postings are a discredit to them on several occasions you have put in correct facts on this topic that has had to be put right by Doug ( whom we at the borough know well and regard him as a mate) and also Kevin Jackson. So stop the stirring
Instead what about some friendlies in the future i am sure both teams would be up for it! Yes there will always be so called local rivalry but the postings are going too far.
AFTER ALL ITS JUST A GAME OF FOOTBALL AND I THINK WE AS IN EVERYONE HAVE LOST SIGH OF THIS
Wishing all teams whoever they are and what ever the league a very HAPPY and AGGRO FREE season
PS for all of you who came on saturday i hope you enjoyed the game as much as us at the Borough and am sure Winchester will be up there at the end of the season and THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Faustino I was about to correct your spelling, but, on reflection, suspect you were quite deliberate in describing yourself as a "Stir" fan (rather than Stur'). All the best! Doug
