Hamworthy United have confirmed four new additions to their squad next season.
Karim Bassouda Kevin Gill Steve Gilbert and Jimmy Edwards have all signed on for next season.
The news of Gilberts and Bassouda's arrival has been common knowledge although unconfirmed until now.
However the news of Edwards and Gill putting pen to paper is a bit of a coup for the irrepressible Mr Pike. Gill who played under Pike at Wimborne has signed for Hamworthy United but is expected to return to Weymouth at the end of the season. The Former Lymington and Wimborne player will be looking to get some Wessex League appearances under his belt as he spent most of last season playing In the Wessex Combination for Weymouth Reserves.
Jimmy Edwards has risked the wrath of Poole Borough supporters by signing for their fierce rivals united. Speculation has been rife that the deal would be done but even Hamworthy United supporters must be quite suprised that they managed to sign the Borough Captain.
Edwards has enjoyed a appears to final season at Borough winning the Players of the year award.
The move is certain to shock Borough Officials who have been viewing their side as potential DPL championship winners for the coming season. The loss of their Club Captain and best player will surely end such hopes.
How much the move has to do with the way Borough dealt with former Manager Pete Morrell and now ex players Steve Russell and Gary Fooks is unknown but the new Borough regime under the guidance of Tony White has certainly unsettled a few players at the club and Edwards' move is surely symptom that all is not well within the Poole Borough dressing room. The move is bound to cause further dissent amongst the current Boro playing staff. It seems that with all of this taken into account the move to the Wessex League and financial incentives was just one Edwards couldn’t turn down.

Sad to see Jimmy go if this is true!! but good luck to him after all it is a higher grade of football than current and is a good step up for him.
Reporter obviously another "stirrer" as what about the other signings and how their "officials" must feel. You spout yet moe nonsense about our hopes for next season.
Pray tell me who told you we build a team around one person?
Are you this sites "reporter" cos what bias views you have! come to one of the friendlies and interview the fans and officials then cast judgement!! But thanks for the coverage
UP THE BORO!

As a Poole Borough 'Official' I can't say I was shocked by Jimmy's decision. He is good enough to step back up to Wessex Division 1 and I would like to wish him all the best and thank him for his excellent performances over three seasons with the Hornets.
He will always be welcome at Turlin Moor (as are any ex-Borough players).
I think however that the Reporter should stick to reporting and stop speculating, because in that respect he is wrong on all counts.

It seems a great shame to me, we actually have another website other than ours (Poole Borough)where players, officials and general suppoters alike can air their views and start some good debates on the footballing antics in Dorset. But for some reason, quite a few people come on this site just so they can have a DIG at POOLE BOROUGH FC, why? I do not know, i can only think that these people are either scared of us or jealous for some unknown reason.
Now i come on the site to find that your reporter is now trying to give us grief by saying what he has.
If jimmy Edwards has left BORO, well i can assure you, everyone here at Boro will gladly shake his hand and wish him good luck and tell him he is always welcome down at the Moor.
Where your reporter gets his info from i will never know, but then to speculate about what is going on in the dressing room, to which he knows absolutely NOTHING ABOUT is plain madness.
I have been with POOLE BOROUGH FOOTBALL CLUB from the very first ball kicked and i can tell you this, the spirit in the club under the guidance of TONY WHITE is probably the best in Dorset football, yes that includes the Big teams also.
Now, i would like to finish by saying good luck to all the teams in Dorset this season.
DONT FORGET TO COME AND WATCH THE MIGHTY POOLE BOROUGH V WINCHESTER CITY ON JULY 10TH AT TURLIN MOOR. Yes they will be bringing their FA VASE TROPHY WITH THEM.
UP THE BORO ;D

Again apologies if the report caused offence.
However I have to reiterate that the sites reporter is COMPLETELY IMPARTIAL. I understand how those connected to Poole Borough might find the report difficult to swallow, but the reporter uses information he has gathered from various sources to compile his reports. You might disagree but I can assure you that the contents of the report are not hear say, second hand information or conjecture.
We aim for complete impartiality on this site. And any views voiced on this site by myself, any other moderator or the reporter remain so. However we cannot take responsibility for the content of other peoples threads. Our powers stop at removal of threads and banning certain users. However so far we haven't seen a need to do either as it just seems to be banter.
Hope all of you continue to use the site especially the Poole Borough supporters as your subject matter provides a lot of interest. And Im sure you'll agree as well a lot of publicity for yourselves.
Take Care

I have already pointed out that no official at Poole Borough was 'shocked' about this move. I was first aware of this possibility at a sub-committee meeting some 4 weeks ago!
The only thing I find hard to swallow is people peddling lies and half-truths about our club under the guise of a factual report.
Maybe the Reporter would like to step forward and reveal himself!

Ok Mr Atkins I'll talk to you because you seem a bit more open minded than my friend Mr Pauley
Fact: Your manager was sacked under dubious circumstances
Fact:2 players left your club at the same time to return at the same time your manager was sacked. Rumour has it 2 more were on the verge of going to the same place if it wasnt for red tape.
Fact: At about this time last season your club brought in several players which despite what any says DID cause unrest among the current players only for some of them to leave 1by1 or spend most of the season in the reserves.
That to justifies the label disarray.
Anyone else agree

Seems if we challenge these assertions we are seen to be too defensive and must have something to hide, while if we ignore them they will be accepted as the truth.
I really can't be bothered to unpick all Fartino's 'facts' but all I can say is that nothing he alluded to happened less than 6 months ago.
It is up to the individual whether they want to believe it or not but Poole Borough are far from in disarray and if anything have made bigger strides in the last 2 months than at any time since we were promoted to the DPL. Time will tell.
UP THE BORO!!

There is absolutely no point in trading insults with you – especially as you seem to have little ability to string together a coherent sentence.
If you keep slagging off Poole Borough, then people like myself, Lee and other Borough supporters will continue to stand up for what is a decent, honest and well run football club for the sake of everybody who works their guts out week in and week out to keep things going.
You know nothing about our club, but yet have some kind of pathological dislike for us. I suggest you lay off us and we will have no reason to criticise you.
