Just thought I'd let you know that after a great game from the crown last night and by beating the railway 3-2, electric are once again sunday premier league champions.
I'd like to say well done to all the players and management for making neutral spectator's (such as myself) sunday mornings interesting. Well done lads

hi rockmcjock, i have had the pleasure of watching electric a number of times this season and as there does not appear to have anyone on here that has acknowledged their great achivement this season, I thought I should. I am a regular watcher of both the premier and first division fixtures although I have not had the opportunity of watching Ham RBL as your home ground is quite a way from where I live and I do not drive.
Maybe if you can let me know next season when you are playing electric reserves I can see what you often rave on about.
Anyway, on another note, Crown play electric tonight at hurn bridge in the senior cup final and I am sure it will be a great advert for local footy. My prediction is 2-1 to crown after extra tiem - always fancy an upset come final night!

localsundayfollower you were spot on re the result last night but way off with it being a 'great advert for local footy'. I paid my gate fee and was hoping for a great game but was bitterly disappointed. I have been led to believe that Electric were a great side and unfortunately, due to them being roughed up and muscled out of it by a very aggresive Crown side, we saw very little football last night. In my opinion, the ref was shocking and let far too many 'nasty. tackles by Crown go unpunished. However, I overheard the Electric manager in the bar (Russell? not sure) say that if he was playing against Electric his tactics would have been the same. Very aggressive and as hard as you could be untill the Ref clamped down. He said Crown deserved their win because their tactics worked and Electric could not cope with it. I was suprised to see Lee Philips only on the bench though. I think Electric play New Star next tuesday - any guesses what New Stars tactics will be!
