Well, it's happened again. Blandford have failed to keep a manager for longer than three minutes. David Walsh, Simon Lenney, Rob Andre, Jamie Horton have all left the club.
Seeems those guys wanted to improve the club but some people are stuck in their ways. The club will be in the Senior league soon as the old guard don't want change. So the club will keep with the "mate" mentality, let's have a pint and dont worry about the football.
Poor management from the top to allow those four to walk out the door. Probably give the job to some mate of the players now.
Well done Blandford, at least it gives everyone else a chance to run their clubs better. With 4 decent coaches now available. I'm not going to watch that team again. No direction and absolutely no leadership.

Blandford seemed to have got it right with their selection. The manager was brave and let the old players go, who were throwing their toys out of the pram.
As usual, the club board let players control it. This is why clubs like Gillingham and Shaftesbury have grown over the last 20 years.
Blandford will not grow because people are there for their mates. Not for the good of the football club. I hope one of the four coaches who have left expose the club for what it is, a shambles. But as always, the managers and coaches leave the club with dignity. Leaving a club who is run by a bunch of clueless dinosaurs who would rather see the days of fighting and kids being beaten up.
Those in charge should leave and let Walsh, along with his team, to go back to take control. The club will move forward with the young players they had, but not with this board at the helm.

Whispers coming out of Park road that Jamie Haylock has ruled himself out the running for the Blandford Job. I am hearing from a reliable source that Club Captain and Legend Tom Oliver is expected to take over as First team manager. Incredible turn of events and good luck to Oliver and his team.

Good news for Blandford FC that David wash and Simon block head Leney have left (sacked) both extremely clueless with there football knowledge but also extremely weird characters. Rumour has it that they we’re caught by club captain Tom Oliver kissing in the showers after the Bournemouth sports game. Blandford can now finally push on and be a top 3 club without those jokers at the top

Walsh had serious drink and drug problems and constantly left the club in a deep hole come match days. Furthermore, Leney can barely tie his shoe laces up nevertheless run a football team. Blandford will be back next season with Jamie haylock at the helm. Someone who knows football and can get a team playing together instead of being forced down a dark path with D.Walsh

Surely Blandford have to look at the source of the problem, same as Manchester United it doesn’t matter what manager you have when the players are the problem, I can count on one hand how many players seem good, decent lads and the rest just high maintenance lads thinking they’re better than what there actually are. Whoever is brave enough to take that team on needs all the luck they can get

Looking at some of the comments here, who I guess are so called players, I'm not surprised the club is failing.
Blandford players need to grow up and learn respect. No decent manager will want to touch this club. Get Haylock, more fist fights and drunken thuggish behaviour. This is why I would not sponsor the club.. Until the committee clear off and get people in who will back a good manager.
Walsh and Leney might not be your cup of tea, but they do know about football. junk Blandford players call them names because they didn't fit in with what was happening at the club. But you lot are so childish you have to personally abuse them. It is you that are a disgrace and clueless.
For the first time in my memory, it felt good, with the drinking culture driven out and a new family orientated club that local businesses wanted to support.

I've a mate who worked with Dave Walsh at Wimborne, Blandford were lucky to have him. But I hear from some of the players that the committee got too involved and wouldn't let the guy manage. You employ a good man then try to tell him how to do his job. Mental.

Step 6 manager joins in summer. Quits because players pub league mentality. Club slag him off. Clubman steps in to manage his pals. Quits because players pub league mentality. Club slag him off Ex Wimborne Town coach takes over. Quits because players pub league mentality. Club slag him off The committee poke their noses in, don't back the manager and expect miracles. Absolute shambles of a club. No manager with any self respect would go and takeover in that set up.

I know Dave Walsh, he is a very good coach and a brilliant guy.. I have also known Rob Andre for years and coached a bit with him at Saints. I'm surprised he has been so loyal to Blandford, I know some good clubs have asked him to manage their first team but he has always stayed with Blandford. I don't know Simon Leney but from what I hear he is a decent as well.
So the problem must run deeper as the club have high qualified coaches who have been ousted because players know better. Sorry if they know better than those standard of coaches they wouldn't be playing for Blandford.

Who cares about Blandford Utd. It's a pub team infiltrated by a worse pub team of AFC Blandford. Making it a club for piss heads and thugs, football is not on the agenda.

You all say ‘coach’ Dave Walsh was a coach not a manager and couldn’t handle the pressure at Blandford and resulted to playing kids from the third team. He was ball boy at Wimborne so never really managed a club and can see why he hasn’t as still got that coach mentality

If Dave Walsh was such a great manager how come he didn't manage to turn the results around at Blandford and they were still getting beat almost every week? Not saying hes a bad coach or a bad bloke, by the sounds of it hes a genuinely nice guy and doesn't deserve some of the stick hes getting on here. But I also find it very odd how Sam Watson was not fancied by Walsh but yet he walks into the Ham Rec team and is scoring goals regularly for them, how is he good enough for Rec but not for Blandford?
