Well done to Kingston Lacy Football Club who won the Bankes charity Football Final and walked away with the silver after scoring 4 to 1 at Holt football ground.
Excellent game.

the score was electric reserves 0 witchampton 4. Electrics reserve team struggled from the off and with a lot of their old boys tiring early on, the witches got in to cruise control quite quickly. It also helped when electric reserves were reduced to 10 and then 9 men within the space of 5 minutes.
Up the witches!

Oh i see, it was Electrics reserve team was it!! I suppose that is a good excuse when they got dicked 4-0, I dont think Witchampton got the respect that they perhaps deserve and when they got their noses ahead, they fought for it and a couple of Electric just wanted to kick lumps out players. Bad losers me thinks, especially with some geezer on the side line telling their players that "If you are gonna do em, make sure you do em properly!!" I mean, what a helmet!! The two sendings off were near the end and would not have changed anything. I paid my £2 too you know!! Like someone said...."Up the Witches"

i saw the game was quite a good game a few rash challenges were made by electric more out of frustration although word on the side was electric were playing a few first teamers the lad up front bagaley definately is! although when you say average age 78 in midfield a little bit disrespectful maybe and incorrect as 3 of the 4 midfielders were probably aged between 20-25!!!!!

I have seen Electric loads this season and the only player I recognised from their first team was the lad up front, Baguley. Four of their team were Electric veterans players. I know this for a fact because I saw them play against Railway Vets. Why don't the Witches contact Electric and arrange a friendly against their first team. Be interesting game but my money would be that Electric would edge it.

I think that's probably a good idea as that would put this matter to bed. I'm sure from what I've seen though, electric first team would most definitely beat Withcampton as the majority (around 90%) of the team play wessex prem on a saturday so the gulf in standard would be vast.
My other point is that it was electric reserves who played you but if they were to say they were the reserve team when entering the cup, they would have played in the junior cup rather than the senior cup as they are not a first side.

Any chance of a friendly with Kingston Lacy, pre season Number 17??? Junior against Senior Bankes Cup winners?? Could be tasty, especially with half of your team made up of Ex-Witches players!!! I, and the Witches would enjoy that very much!! Smell ya laters!!!

my comments on the average age of the sparkies midfield was not meant as disrespect to them i was pointing out as has been mentioned the the "super" witchampton who cant make it out of the senior league due to not being good enough played a sparkies team for the 2nd season on the bounce and beat them while thinking and probably telling their mates and themselves it was sparkies first team they beat again!!!THE BORNEMOUTH ELECTRIC TEAM YOU BEAT WAS THE RESERVES WITH A FEW VETS WHO BUMPED THE AGE UP A BIT BUT AT LEAST GAVE IT A BASH....As for sparkies trying to kick them off the pitch i seem to remember the first half in the semi final when we played bitchampton and there two centre midfielders kick the poop out of our two until we played football around them second half...lesson is dont throw stones in glass houses

sorry i dont recall anything being said on here about the witches being 'super' or claiming to be 'super' or mouthing off that they are too good for the senior league, obviously they wernt too good because they didnt win it and i think everyone who knows local football including witchampton knows that they wernt playing electrics first team because their first team comprises of wessex league players which the team in the final wasnt! again knowone from witchampton is coming on here claiming they beat their first team!
