sorry to butt in people but ive been watching this thread for a while and this is my opinion of the people who are at question here or should i say person...KJ i dont know so cant comment on but as for steve harvey let me say this..the guy doesnt appeal to a lot of people..thats just steve but if you ever get to know him or give him the chance to get to know you...YOU will be suprised i know sometimes he thinks that hes roman abramovich but he only does it because he has the best interests of the football club at heart..trust me you have to know steve before you can listen to him(i worked for him and have played for him a few times)so im qualified to talk about him..he is a good man and as steve knows ill be the first to tell him to his face Bleep off steve and i reckon b/mouth sports should at least give him the chance before slating him at least after 1 season you can then say Bleep off instead of saying it from the tail end of a season into a new one!!!!

Played a couple of games for steve, asked me to play last year for a while as it was just a friendly, what a nice bloke.seriously, met him again this year and once again nice as pie, so what the hell have people got against him.
teams like dorchester have no backing, yet when this man puts his money where his mouth is people slag the bloke off
it is a joke, teams would bite the blokes arm off to have the money he is willing to invest into the club it is just stupid.
bmouth sports fans.....this bloke has put bag loads of money into your new club and you have to give it time to gel, just wait a few months, if it all goes upside down then ya can slag the bloke off!!

To Sports fan, Are you sure youve been watching THE SPORTS? Having been involved in the management team for the past Two seasons at the club i think i am well qualified to comment on anything that going on at the moment and as far as im aware the only people that have been watching the present team on a regular occasion are those that are related in one way or another. As for Steve Harvey, i have known him for a while and i for one find him ok, his enthusiasm is very infectious,as for Kevin Jackson, i did'nt know of him at all until he landed the managers job, so i am like all of the players, who, are willing to give him a chance and see what he can do, only time will tell.

Any idea if KJ is planning on taking Paul Maynard to Bournemouth Sports? In my opinion he is one of the best prospects from the players he had at Poole Town reserves, rarely gets praise or attention but a very solid defender and good going forward when playing right back.

i think Maynard is going away to university.
But when he played for Poole kj rated him highly and encouraged him lot. so if he was around KJ would definitely want to sign him.

KJ has been busy preseason, he has got some quality players joining him, me being one of them, i played wessex last season but KJ has convinced me that sports are not just a team in the BPL they want the crown.
He has also mentioned other players that have signed for him.
I read all the junk on this site about him, but when you talk to him he just wants to talk football and wants to win. I look forward to a good season at sports.

as i understand it a lot of pooles senior players were refusing to play for reserves when kj was running it because it was such a shambles.if he has money to pay players which i understand he has he should win the league or at least be in the top 3 as holt and poole borough are only other clubs in league who also pay money. poole borough seem to be in real decline at moment so in my eyes anything other than top 2 would constitute failure

anon that is totally wrong, the reserves was not a shambles, the 1st teamers did not refuse to play. as many did play when available. KJ did a good job, so lets not start this mudslinging again and consentrate on a new season.

So "Borough are in the decline" says ANON well let me say wheres your evidence? just because we finished mid table and had an up and down season. WE are not complaining seems your expectations of us are "too high" think we have doine quite well for such a young club only formed in 1999 think most people have forgotten that bit!!! ;D ;D

i just assumed that if you are one of the few clubs paying wages to some players in the dpl and also pay your manager you should be looking to finish in top 3. also now that poole town seem to be thriving again no one seems bothered with poole borough anymore

Well anon, it just goes to show that you should NEVER assume anything! as no money is being payed then that puts an end to that assumption!! Yes Poole town are doing well, good luck to them, but also good luck to the boro as we should all want our local sides to do well, if nothing else it keeps the local derby's more interesting.

Sports Fan,
Go down to the "Sports" Club this saturday (10 am) and you will find out who the "new" players are and if you ask KJ.
Training will start on Tuesday of next week (and Thurs) and people like Russell Beardmore et al will be taking training.
Hope this helps.

Shouldnt need people to take the training when KJ is such an "excellent" coach. So anyway no names of players signed, yet more talk. Not typical of Harvey and Kj at all right!

Tried to get names from KJ last night but he was very cagey. Sorry can not help.
All I know is that is that we have friendlies against Melksham Town, Chippenham Town, Chard, Gosport and Bmth Poppies to name a few so hopefully he is strengthening the team to cater for these teams.
